Chris & Michelle, Married @ Ancala {Scottsdale Wedding Photographer}

Just as I arrived at Ancala Country Club in Scottsdale for Chris and Michelle's wedding, a crazy, windy rain storm arrived with me. We had to move the ceremony inside, but it was very intimate and beautiful anyway. Chris, Michelle, and their family and friends all stayed positive and didn't let the rain put a damper on the day. And actually, they say rain on your wedding day is good luck. Proof that it is? It clears just in time to take some photos and reveals the most beautiful sunset.

Mike & Ashley, Engaged @ South Mountain

There's really nothing better than the sunsets at South Mountain, and it's one of Mike and Ashley's favorite spots here in Phoenix. I was so glad they chose it as the location to document their engagement! The weather cooperated and so did the dog (well, as much as a Great Dane can), and Mike and Ashley were excellent models as well. Or maybe it's just that they look great and in love by being their wonderful selves. 

Joe & Jenn, Married @ Camp Du Nord {Ely, MN Wedding Photographer}

Well, I think it's safe to say that my favorite venue for weddings (and life in general) is nature. Especially if that venue is in northern Minnesota! Joe and Jenn chose Camp Du Nord outside of Ely to renew their vows and celebrate being married, and it did not disappoint. Yard games, beaker jars full of candy and flowers, pages from their favorite book, moss, and delicious cake and cupcakes are just a few of the DIY details that created a beautiful, meaningful, and fun atmosphere. Also, I can't help but adore a bride who loves flannel as much as I do.
